Dr. Dan Dinsmore
Veterinarian
Dr. Dan Dinsmore, originally from Kentucky, graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine and has worked at Asheboro Animal Hospital his entire career. He has interests in preventative medicine, cytology, and internal medicine.
Dr. Dinsmore’s family includes his wife, Jamie, their two sons, and two dogs, Jay and Macy. He enjoys gardening, working with a community service organization, and teaching an adult Sunday school class.

Dr. Leslie Yow
Veterinarian
Dr. Leslie Yow is an Asheboro native and a graduate of Asheboro High School. She developed a love for animals early on through horse shows and trail riding and gained hands-on experience working at the North Carolina Zoo during high school and college, where she helped bottle-raise two lion cubs.
Dr. Yow earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from North Carolina State University and went on to complete her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine as part of the university’s inaugural veterinary class. She has practiced in a variety of clinical settings throughout North Carolina before joining Asheboro Animal Hospital, where she continues to care for pets in her local community.
Outside of the hospital, Dr. Yow enjoys spending time with her husband, Ray, and their two sons, Dallas and Connor. Her home is full of animals, including a dog and four cats—though she’ll tell you that number is always subject to change.

Dr. Kristen Livengood
Veterinarian
Dr. Kristen Livengood completed her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill and her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at North Carolina State University. After graduating from veterinary school, she treated both large and small animals at a mixed animal veterinary clinic in Shelby, NC. Dr. Livengood’s veterinary interests include soft tissue surgery, dermatology, geriatric medicine, and diagnostic imaging.
As a native of Thomasville, Dr. Livengood moved back to the area to be closer to her family. When she is not at work, you are most likely to find Dr. Livengood on horseback or spending summer days on the boat or in the garden. Dr. Livengood and her husband are very active in their church and help to lead the middle and high school student ministry. In addition to their two Quarter Horses, Lemon and Drifter, they have two Labrador retrievers, two cats, four chickens, and an entertaining rooster named Meathead.

Dr. Kylie Hericks
Veterinarian
Dr. Kylie Hericks is from Virginia and is a double Hokie. She completed her Bachelor of Sciences in Animal and Poultry Sciences and then obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine, both from Virginia Tech. After graduation, she moved to the Greensboro area to treat cats and dogs in general practice, and her interests include geriatric medicine, dermatology, and preventative medicine.
When not at the clinic, Dr. Hericks enjoys crafting, gardening, and practicing martial arts. She lives with her partner and they travel together whenever they get the chance. Her fur family includes her sweet mutt, Kodak, and her tri-pod cat, Spicy.
